About the experience
Turtle Watching
During July and August, Mor D’Areia Tours runs this seasonal experience at João Barrosa Beach. Its purpose is to responsibly observe Caretta caretta turtles coming ashore to nest, while respecting the setting and the natural pace of the event. The outing takes place at night and offers local context on the importance of Boa Vista’s coast for this species. The planned duration is four hours. As with any wildlife observation, what happens depends entirely on natural conditions, so neither a sighting nor nesting can be guaranteed. July and August refer only to the period when this Mor D’Areia Tours experience is available, not to the species’ full biological season.
