About the experience

Half Day — North

In half a day, this route brings together very different landscapes and stories from northern Boa Vista. Rabil introduces local tradition and pottery; soon afterwards, the Viana Desert opens onto pale inland dunes. The journey continues to the shipwreck at Atalanta Beach, widely known as the Cabo Santa Maria wreck, an unmistakable presence on the northern coast. Returning through Sal-Rei adds the atmosphere of the island’s main town and completes the contrast between community, desert and ocean. These four hours are paced for observation and for hearing the context behind each place. Lunch is not included, and the route stays focused on the character and history of the north.
